Desert Camp Chraika
Our camp is a charming collection of natural clay huts, featuring seven guest huts, a main hall, a lounge, restrooms, and our home—all arranged around a central campfire.
We welcome both individual travelers and groups of up to 26 people. The camp has also been a lovely base for yoga retreats.
Our "neighborhood" is the stunning and untamed Sahara desert. It’s a place to take long walks, let your eyes wander to the horizon, enjoy spectacular sunsets daily, embrace the peaceful silence, stargaze, and gather around the campfire at night.
The camp also serves as the starting point for our desert tours, which take guests deeper into the heart of the desert.
Guest Access
The main hall, protected from the elements, is available for dining, yoga, or other activities. A smaller lounge offers a cool retreat during the day, while a simple rooftop provides panoramic views of the dunes and the edge of M’hamid. Guests can also enjoy a communal campfire area for tea and music under the stars.
Additional Information
- Solar energy powers a central charging station and provides lighting in each hut. Charging devices is possible in the lounge.
- Central Wi-Fi is available, and cellular data coverage is reliable.
- Hot water is heated on request.
- A well on-site supplies water for taps and showers. While slightly salty and suitable for washing, we recommend bottled water for drinking and brushing your teeth.
- Friendly desert cats roam the camp, adding warmth and charm to your stay.
