Desert Camp Chraika
The camp is a charming collection of natural clay huts, including seven guest huts, a main hall, a lounge, restrooms, and our house, all arranged around a central campfire and garden.
Guests have access to a weather-protected main hall, ideal for dining, yoga, or other activities. A smaller lounge area offers a cool retreat during the day, while a simple rooftop provides stunning views of the dunes and the edge of M’hamid. In the evenings, guests can gather at the communal campfire space for tea and music under the stars. The huts include either private toilets or access to shared outdoor bathrooms.
We welcome both individual travelers and groups of up to 26 people. The camp also serves as a base forwonderful yoga retreats.
Our "neighborhood" is the breathtaking and untamed Sahara desert. It’s the perfect place for long walks, barefoot strolls on warm sand, and gazing at the endless horizon. Every evening brings magnificent sunsets, and the nights invite you to stargaze and enjoy the warmth of a campfire. The silence and tranquility of the desert create an unforgettable atmosphere.

Additional Information
- Solar energy powers a central charging station and provides lighting in each hut. Charging devices is possible in the lounge.
- Central Wi-Fi is available, and cellular data coverage is reliable.
- Hot water is heated on request.
- A well on-site supplies water for taps and showers. While the water is slightly salty and suitable for washing, we recommend bottled water for drinking and brushing your teeth.
- Friendly desert cats add to the warm and welcoming atmosphere of the camp.
